Join members of Basketmakers of Tasmania for a day of demonstrations and discussion about the joys of basketmaking, tips, tricks and how to get started.

Basketry Unravelled is a unique gathering of Tasmania’s finest basket weavers, held from 11.00 AM to 3.00 PM at Create Do & Mend, 63 High Street, New Norfolk. This special event showcases the diverse techniques, materials, and artistry of 10 talented weavers, offering an up-close look at their creative process. Visitors will have the chance to engage directly with the artists, ask questions, and gain insight into their craft. Whether you’re a weaving enthusiast or simply curious, this is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the skill, tradition, and innovation behind contemporary basketry.
