The Tasmanian Autumn Festival is held on palawa Country. We acknowledge the traditional and original owners of the lands on which our events take place. We recognise the people of the Big River Nation, including the Leenowwenne people, and acknowledge timtumili minanya – the palawa kani name for the River Derwent – as a significant cultural, historical and ecological landscape. The festival celebrates place, season and community, and is committed to respectful cultural acknowledgement, environmental responsibility and inclusive access. The Tasmanian Autumn Festival is hosted by the Derwent Valley and Central Highlands Tourism Association. The association’s committee is made up of an enthusiastic band of business owners who volunteer their time to promote the region.
